How to Prepare

Physical fitness is essential for a trip to Elba’s steep seaside locale, from the ascending stairs of Capoliveri to the craggy outcroppings where local herbs grow. Going anywhere asks you to go up or down. Bring layers, as the sea air can be cool and the weather is changeable when we are on the boat. We suggest a journal, or watercolors if you’re so inclined, your favorite apron and, most of all, an open mind and spirit.
